There is ‘i’ in happiness, not 'y' (why).  -----------《the pursuit of happyness》

There is a moving movie named The Pursuit of Happiness translated into Chinese as 《当幸福来敲门》. I have seen it many times which  i can't count . What bothers me is why Christopher can succeed finally.  Is that because of  his effort ? love for his son? or something else? In other words , the director Gabriele Muccino  tells  us the story for what?

Following is my thinking.

1. EFFORT

The first time you see it ,you are probably  impressed with Christopher's effort to save his family and give his son a good example .There is a scene where his son Chris does't do well in playing baseball on rooftop .  Christopher looks at his seemingly disappointed  son and then has a such talk:

 Don't ever letsomebody tell you...you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream...you gotta protect it.People can't do something themselves...they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want something, go get it. Period.

Though i have seen this scene many times as i said i have seen the movie many times  , i still get excited when i hear  the sentence . Maybe Chris does't understand the true meaning of the words but he sees the strength in his father's eyes . I bet that . 

2. AMBITION

From a loser who can't sell one machine  to a success who earns  80 million dollars a year there is a great gap as we know . But lead character Christopher  just makes his mind to be a stockbroker and does all the work his can do to make that come true . Mountains  that go way up high and mountains that go deep and low . But don't be afraid my friend , go and climb them !

3. LUCK

During the second part 'Be stupid' of Christopher's life , his just meets Jay who oversees   Witter Resources. He shares one ride with Jay and has a good chance to show he can play   Rubik's cube very well  .This is luck working . You can't beg it but  maybe what you have to do is getting yourself prepared  when it does't come to you . On the other hand ,you might get depressed when you face failure but sometimes the truth is that you just lack a piece of luck .So don't cry ,stand and fight .

4. LOVE

I  believe that people get something hard done because of  deep love in their hearts . Whatever them love ,maybe the money ,the wife,even the world  , it is the love that motivates them to go on and forgets the hurt .Christopher loves his son Chris so much that really touches everyone so long as he has seen it .Unlike Christopher who sees his father for the first time when he is 28 years old,i have a nice family which i have deep love in . Maybe the sentence following which i read in a book is right , i can't  write a article to demonstrate my love for any number in my family . The love like the water just flows into my blood and i know i can't live without it . I remember i have never said ‘爱你’ to my family numbers , but i maybe will  find a chance and just say it out . I will , i promise.

要是有些事我没有说，你别以为我忘了，我什么也没忘；但是有些事只适合收藏，不能说，不能想，却又不能忘……
