周六的绘本时间又到了，上周小鹿带崽子去动物园的时候答应他给他讲动物园的故事，于是就找到了这本绘本。《Good Night, Gorilla》曾获美国图书馆协会年度好书、美国儿童图书中心期刊“蓝丝带”奖等众多奖项，也是吴敏兰书单中5到6岁推荐阅读的原版绘本之一。

It's late at night.
天黑了。
The zookeeper inspected the zoo and said goodnight to the animals before he went back home.
动物管理员在回家前巡视了动物园，跟动物们说晚安。
But what happened？
可是出了什么事了？
What was the gorilla doing？
大猩猩在干什么？
It stole the zookeeper's keys.
他偷了动物管理员的钥匙。
And the little mouse helped to untangle the balloon tied to the gate.
旁边那只小老鼠也帮他解开了绑在笼子大门上的气球。

The zookeeper went to the elephant's, and said goodnight to the elephant.
动物管理员接下来去了大象那里，跟大象说晚安。
But he didn't know that the gorilla was creeping behind him.
但他不知道，大猩猩正偷偷跟在他身后。
Would the gorilla open the gate and let the elephant out？
大猩猩会打开大象笼子，放大象出来吗？

Look, the elephant went out, too.

So was the little mouse.

It brought a banana with it.

The gorilla picked out the key and inserted into the lock.
大猩猩找出钥匙，插进锁孔。
Hush, lion, let's go out to play.

晚安，鬣狗。
Good night, Giraffe.
晚安，长颈鹿。
After the zookeeper checked hyena and giraffe, they set both of them free, too.
动物管理员检查过鬣狗和长颈鹿后，他们也被放了出来。
Didn't the zookeeper realize that there were so many animals walking behind him？
那个动物管理员没有意识到身后跟着这么多动物吗？
Maybe it was too dark outside.

There were six animals in the animal night parade now.
现在小动物夜间游行中有六个小动物了。
And they were sure to enroll their seventh member.

Different from other animals, armadillo didn't live in a cage.
与其他动物不同，穿山甲不住在笼子里。
It was kept in a stockade.

I think it was too small to escape from the stockade.

But the gorilla got the key.

So all the seven animals sneaked out of the zoo.

And the gorilla sat on the bed, yawning.
大猩猩坐在床上打呵欠。
The zookeeper sat on the other side of the bed and took off his shoes.
动物管理员坐在床的另一边，正脱鞋子。
His wife was sleeping on the bed.
他的妻子正在床上睡觉。
Time to sleep now, guys.
伙伴们，睡觉的时候到了。

Said the wife of the zookeeper.
动物管理员的妻子说。
She was going to turn off the light.
她准备关灯啦。
But she was too sleepy that she didn't open her eyes.
但她太困了，没有睁开眼睛。

What？
发生什么事了？
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
一、二、三、四、五、六、七。
She heard seven voices answering, goodnight.
她听到七个声音在回应她，晚安。
And those were definitely not her husband's voice.
而且这些肯定不是她丈夫的声音。
So she turn on the light to see what was happening.
因此她打开灯看看发生什么事了。
Her eyes were wide open with astonishment.

I think she was not sleepy at all now.

She saw all the animals resting in her bedroom.

为配合绘本设定在深夜这一故事背景和小动物们悄悄“越狱”的大致内容，小鹿在给如意讲这本绘本时总喜欢用说悄悄话的语气加上夸张的表情来讲这个故事，崽子也往往会“一秒入戏”，跟着我神神叨叨地开始绘本之旅。家长们不妨也试着把绘本演出来，增加亲子互动，增进孩子对绘本的兴趣吧。
