1.Did John's father ask about his date with Savannah?

       No,he didn't ask about the date,although he seemed almost excited when he heard John want to have breakfast with him. 

2.How did John feel about Leroy's? Why?

       The bar had been darker and dingier than John remembered, and he hated the place as soon as he walked in the door,he hated everything about the place,including his friends.

        He used to be drinking and date girls almost every night when he was young. but after he had broke with Lucy,he realized he might change the  way of life ,he had been pretending everything in his life was okay.then he had decided to join  the military.

3.What did John do for his father in this chapter?

       John had tried to talk with his father at breakfast, it didn't work as before, he had prepared the dinner for his father, finally they had talked about Savannah and John's mother.

4.Did John get to know his mother better? What did he get to know from his father?

         No,he didn't,because his mother had never been part of his life, he didn't care it  at that time.He had just wanted his father talk to him.
