Something About “The Devil Wears Prada”
Having watched the movie once, I watch it again. I don't know why I love this movie so much. Actually, I bought two books of this series. Another one is “Revenge Wears Prada” and I really surprised when I know this book!
And as for the movie, I love the character of Andy. A girl knowing nothing about fashion, clothes, collation or something else just does her best to learn such things. After Nigel's words, she begins to change not only her outlook but her attitude toward work and fashion. Nigel tells her that she's not trying, she's whining. So many people would die to work in this place, but she only deigns to work.
These sentense makes me realize that what I am complaining about is exactly what other people's want. These days I am busy with my homework and final exam. I lost my ID card so that I can't attend the CET 4. I changed my hair style and it looks terrible. However, I don't realize that I am working at a major that I chose firmly a year ago. I can just have a new ID card though it would be a little bit troubled. I can just take another text next semester. Also, my hair will finally grow and I can change it again. It's just a new me(though l am uneasy with it). Everything will be right.
Then about Andy’s later work, she really does something wrong for she goes upstairs and invade Miranda’s privacy. Therefore Miranda asks her to do an impossible work which is find the unpublished manuscipt of Harry Potter. It’s unbelievable that Andy makes it! Anyway, she stays in Ranway and keeps doing a fantastic job. Meanwhile, her conflict with her boyfriend Nate is even more serious.
It sparks a self-examination that which is more important, the job you’re pursuing and the friends and the lover stay with you. The answer is obvious. What Andy always says is that: I don’t have choose. But in fact, she has. Whether to say no to her boss and quit the job or not depends on her. Quit the job and have another job is not a big deal for Andy. Luckily, Andy makes her right choose and reconcile with her boyfriend. Though I think Christian Thompson suits her more. In the end of the movie, Andy gets her dream job and is recommended by Miranda. Yep, she must have done something right.
