William commits suicide after leaving a note and the check his father gave him  to Julia then he walks into the lake.

Sylvia knows something wrong about her brother-in-law and insists searching for him instead of keeping Julia company, which annoyed and confuses Julia.

When they find William with his unconscious body, Sylvia asks Julia to come to the hospital but the latter refuses.
