HashCode解析

众所周知,Java语言中,Object对象有个特殊的方法:hashcode(), hashcode()表示的是JVM虚拟机为这个Object对象分配的一个int类型的数值,JVM会使用对象的hashcode值来提高对HashMap、Hashtable哈希表存取对象的使用效率。而在很多网上的教程中告诉我们的是hashcode返回的是对象的内存地址。然而实际使用中会发现哈希值存在负数的情况,而内存地址肯定不会用负数表示,因此有了本文对其底层实现进一步进行探索。须知的是,不同的JRE对这些方法的实现各有不同,只是遵循着Java对这些方法所订立的规范进行设计的,本文基于的是openJDK的源码。
首先我们确认一下hashcode()方法返回值到底是不是内存地址:

代码中用到了大名鼎鼎的Unsafe类,它提供了绕开"安全"的JVM机制直接调用"native"的底层方法的功能,在java.concurrent包中大量使用了其提供的CAS功能。

由结果中可以看出两者是截然不同的两个整型数。
那JDK到底是通过什么策略来生成哈希值的呢?

即该方法是一个本地方法,Java将调用本地方法库对此方法的实现。由于Object类中有JNI方法调用,按照JNI的规则,应当生成JNI 的头文件,在此目录下执行javah -jni java.lang.Object 指令,将生成一个java_lang_Object.h头文件,该头文件将在后面用到它:

从上面的追根溯源可以发现,在openJDK中实现了多种不同的hash值计算策略,只有一种是直接返回对象的内存地址。
