Today, I would like to recommend a very favorite picture book Lost and Found, written by Oliver Jeffers.
Born in Australia in 1977,he is young but talented.
He has created a series of picture books with rich travel adventure experience.
As follows:
Up and Down
The Way Back Home
How To Catch A Star
Lost and Found
This book mainly tells the story of what happened between a little boy and a penguin.
Once there was a boy and one day a penguin arrived on his doorstep.
The boy thought the penguin must be lost and tried to return him.
But no one seemed to be missing a penguin.
So the boy decided to take the penguin home himself, and they set out in his row boat on a journey to the South Pole.
But when they got there, the boy discovered that maybe home wasn't what the penguin was looking for after all!
Finally they looked for each other and hugged each other.
The reason for recommending this book is that it is touching.
The little boy finally knew that "the little penguin is not lost, it's just lonely", just like himself.
Everything he learned on this adventure was to understand and cherish.
In addition, I like his watercolor style very much, which is rich in color and dreamy.
