What is family?
Family is formed of peolple, where there are people, there are family. The house itslef is not family, without people, it's just a concrete box.
Family is a lasting topic talked by people.
It's a place mixed of love, hate and resentments, all kinds of emotions. But what make it miracle is that love is the forever thing.
With love, it seems that any resentments, hate and angry could be wiped away. And I think it's really amazing.
So it's true about the sentence said by my ex-boyfriend:' Love is belief, with love, we have anything.'
From this sentence, I could feel that although his original family have many confilcts in life, it's still a lovely family.
So how could I realize that love is the forever thing in family? It came from my getting along wiht my father.
About 2 months ago, we had an argue,and he said something that really hurt my feelings, like the cut in knife. What he said was:' this family could be broken down, and just let it be.'
My feelings after listening this sentence was sad and sorrow. And my heart was also broken at that time.
It felt like you were abandoned by your family, you were a person without family. It's unacceptable for me, at least at this stage, to live in this world without a family, especially the original family.
Because my mom passed away a few yers ago because of lung cancer, and I don't have a good relationship with my only sisiter, we have much conflicts, if my dady also give up the whole family, which really means I don't a family in this world.
Suddenly, I start to understand Tara's feelings in Educated. It's hard for people to totally seperated from the original family.
Anyway, back to my argue with my dad.
After the argue, we didn't talk with each other for nearly 1 month. But during this month, my dad took are of me behind me through asking my grandma about my situtation.
As the time he cared about me more and more, my heart started to get soft. Then I said to myself: ‘‘Although he hurt you, he made some mistakes and sometimes he was really annoying and upsetting you. But he still loves you, he still does what a father does, I already lost my mom, and I don't want to lose my dad. What's the important one is that I only has one father, and he is more than 50 years old, he do not have much years living in this world, maybe we can be just father and daughter for 20 years, so if what he does now can make him happpy, and is not too much, just let it be as long as he is happy.’
Actually, after writing the above paragraph, I understand more deeply about what I wrote in yesterday's summary: the essence of relationship is interaction, a relationship with only one person's effrots is not enough and this could also be a not good relationship. And I realised my father and I were forgiving and toleranting each other.
For familes, what binds us together is love, and we love each other deeply through stormy and windy weather.
