Learning to put first things first is vitally important, for only when first things are put first will all work out perfectly. Search your heart and see what you are putting first. Is it yourself and your own welfare? Is it your job and your material circumstances? Are you content to go through life completely unaware of Me, confident that you can get along just as well without My help and that you have no need of Me? You are absolutely free to adopt any attitude you wish. No one will stop you. But you must be willing to take the consequences when things go wrong. Remember, when you know what is right and choose to go your own way, the responsibility you hold is even greater, for you cannot plead ignorance. Never make the excuse that there is so much to do that there is not time to fit everything in. I tell you that when you put first things first, there is time for everything.
学习分清主次是极为重要的，因为只有当主次被分清时，一切才会被完美地解决。搜索我的内心，并看看我放在首位的是什么。它是我自己，以及我自己的福利吗？它是我的工作和我的物质环境吗？我满足于在对上天毫无觉察的情况下度过我的一生吗？并有信心只靠我自己，没有用上天的帮助也能安然度过吗？我确实完全都不需要上天的吗？
我要采取哪种态度，我有着绝对的自由。没有人会阻止我。但是我必须得愿意承受当事情出错的后果。记住，当我知道什么是对的，并选择去走我自己的路时，我所担负的责任甚至是更大的，因为我无法声称不知。永远不要找借口说，没有太多能够去做的，或者时间不够让每一件事都被安排进去。上天告诉我，当我分清主次时，每一件事的时间都会有。
