I am living in the upper Canada of deep north

北国风光

thousand miles of ice

千里冰封

and snow ten times more

万里雪飘

looking at Great Wall

望长城内外

inside and out are white

惟余莽莽

rivers are all frozen

大河上下,顿失滔滔

mountains are dancing like a silver snake, and hills like wax-elephant

山舞银蛇，原驰蜡象

how can I stand there so closer to the haven?

欲与天公试比高

wait till a clear sky that everything is so beauty

须晴日，看红装素裹，分外妖娆。

how wonderful the land! everybody wants to get the power

江山如此多娇，引无数英雄竞折腰

Chin Shih-huang and Han Wu-ti, lack of education

惜秦皇汉武，略输文采

Tang Tai-tsung and Sung Tai-tsu, I guess just so so

唐宗宋祖，稍逊风骚

so please forget about Genghis Khan, he only can shoot an eagle

一代天骄，成吉思汗，只识弯弓射大雕

So they all passed and gone, please take look at what's happening now

俱往矣，数风流人物，还看今朝
