Praising Makes Children Grow

I got a thank-you message from one of my students' mothers. She told me that her daughter who is a very shy and inward child went to do her assignment autonomously last night. Her daughter said that she felt happy because I praised her for her neat and beautiful hand-writing. The mother was so happy to see the good changes on her daughter that she couldn't help to say her thanks to me. By the end of the school, another thank-you note popped up on the QQ chat . A mother whose naughty son told her that he got a praise and a notebook from me for his very good writing homework, and he will keep behaving well and not to let me down. This mother said once again that she appreciated my praise toward her kid.

Kids feel excited when they get praised. And I know it well. So every day I praise my students for their good behavors, manners and give them big hands or big hugs. I like to do that. This not only raise the kids, it do the magic to myself too. I feel happy and satisfied for being a good teacher caring students and compliments them frequently. And I have witnessed good changes happened on the children. I might help them grow much better by just praising them.

I will keep doing this. I will always look on the bright side. Children's smiling faces are one of them.
