Today is Sunday.
The policeman were going to buy ice creams for all the lost children but they couldn't stop crying except Henny. So he just bought one for Henny who wished that he had bought some for others, so that the children could give them to her when they didn't feel like eating them. By this time four other girls wished they had been lost too. Mama remind them that how ridiculous the wish was and told them that they might be lost forever. When they got home, Papa was waiting at the station, his face anxious and unhappy. But the worry soon changed to relief when he caught sight of the tired family. He took sleeping Gertie on his strong shoulder from Mama's arm as soon as possible and asked what had taken them such a long time. On their way home Mama told him the story briefly and Papa looked sternly at Henny and shooked his head. But He didn't say anything to blame Henny, and just said to Mama,"What a day you must have had."
