When Abraham Lincoln was young, his family is very poor. His mother died early. Then his father Thomas Lincoln seek a new wife in Kentucky. Abraham Lincoln and his sister was abandoned by his father. They are so poor and nobody care of them so they life just like animal. But abraham Lincoln's was very intelligent. He loved reading. So much That he read it every books touched. He have no money to buy books, So he borrowed books from his neighbor. His stepmother admire him and she gave him many books. Lincoln learned many kinds of knowledge. Such as science math. law By reading. And he also learnd eloquence from his father. When his father told a story he will figured out what means of the story and tried to retell the story used The words of himself.
As a young American, Lincoln also have passions for politicians. Abraham Lincoln aimed to serve the people. He always contended public service. But because of the economic , his idea didn't get much support, which was his first political Lose.
Then there was a war between the United States and Mexico over land. The president of the United States tried to Cheer up people by claiming that Mexico had attacked the United States first. But Lincoln figure out that the president had no way to prove that the first spot of blood shed on American soil, meaning that Mexico had not attacked the United States first.Lincoln's opposition in the time Result in the political door temporarily closed to him.
Having experienced two political defeats, he still had his own opinion and passion for politics and used his political wisdom and eloquence to climb the presidency step by step.
We can see that Lincoln's early life was not easy, but when Lincoln faced difficulties, he never gave up. He used his power to overcome these difficulties. When he had no money to buy books and received a good education , he borrowed books from others by working, cherished all the books he could contend, read many kinds of books, learned a lot of knowledge through reading, and realized self-education. And when he put into the politics, although he meat a lot of setbacks, but he did not give up his political ideals. Instead, he continued to win the recognition of others through his wisdom and eloquence, and eventually became the president of the United States, and realized the great feat of emancipating slaves, making great contributions to the future development of the United States.
