To deliver speech, a draft need to be ready as earlier as possible, do you think so?But ifwe didn’t finish it until today, shall we feel unconfident, a little bit ofworried on our performance? So Why do we push it so late? Busy ,busy, all busy.
We are alwaysbeing busy. When I planned to have a special time to accompany my kids, but mywork won’t allow me, as I was tired as a dog after the day’s work. We all hopeour life can be joyful, fruitful, peaceful. To approach the goal, a flexibletime schedule is necessary, so how can we manager our time?
Time isequal to everyone, every week we can choose to work for 40 hours or more thanit ,sometimes we have no choice but to surrender to the work, the socialactivities . But inyour spare time, the time arrangement is up to yourself. I often found I can’tfind any time for my own interest.
Where isthe time going? No no,I must build the life I like.
Onemagazine gave me tips, it said we can find 1 extra hour by saving time here& there.all these little piece of time added up, we’ll have time for goodstuff.
En, soundsinteresting, ha? So when I watched video, I skipped to the introduction part, guessit may be less important, pressed “fast forward”” fast forward” again, andagain, my friends asked me what the hell are you watching? Are you enjoying theTV? No,I just picked up one piece, another piece and master them by myself, totally not joyful. When I read stories to my daughter, if she was appealed bythe fabulous picture,I will bring out my ow book and read my books beside her, then she is unwilling, “please continue on my story” I was mad at thisinterruption, but who is right here? It is her story time or my reading time?Shit.
To savetime here and there, I found this idea isn’t completely the best way, we didn’tbuild the life we want by saving time. While we were building the life we want, the time saves itself.
First let’ssee a research, the researcher studied how successful people spent their time, first record the people’s schedule hour by hour, we know most of those people havedemanding jobs, they have business to run, kids to look after, and many socialactivities, all are busy ,busy busyperson.
One day, oneunexpected thing happened on one woman, she came home& found” oh my god”, thecarpet was floating, there was water all over her room, why? Oh, water heaterwas broken,if you ever met such thing happened on you, you’ll know it is ahugely damaging, frightening mess. So she called the repair worker to come in, calledthe professional cleaning crew to deal with the ruined carpet. All this isbeing recorded on her time log. All these work took seven hours of her week.
If you hadasked her at the start of the week, "Could you find seven hours to mentor seven worthy people?" I'm sureshe would've said "No -- can't you see how busy I am?" Yet when shehad to find seven hours because there is water all over her room, she foundseven hours. And what this shows us is that time is very flexible. We cannotmake more time, buttime will stretch to accommodate what we choose to put into it.
So the key to time management is treating our priorities as the equivalent of that broken water heater.." When we say "I don't have time," often means"It's not a priority." If I told you I don't have time to wash my car, that's not true. If you offered to pay me $100 to dust it, I would get to itpretty quickly.
We are allsmart people, we have power to fill our life with deserved things. Right nowlooking at the this moment as the year 2018 ending, you have done 3-5 goals foryour career or personal life, how amazing you are? now put them into ourschedule,. You’ll see where the good stuff can go. I truly believe this.Thereis time. Even if we are busy, we have time for what matters. And when we focuson what matters, we can build the life we want.
