Coronavirus: Georgia Records 4260 New Cases, 45 Deaths
In the last 24 hours, 4,260 new confirmed cases of the virus have been identified, Berdia Sichinava, representative of the Interagency Coordination Council, said at a briefing at the Government Administration.
"4,260 newly confirmed cases of the virus have been identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 147,636. In the last 24 hours, 2,947 people were recovered, and the total number of recoveries increased to 124,568.
"Unfortunately, we have 45 new cases of coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, we have a total of 1,387 deaths.
"Of the 4,260 new cases of infection detected today, 1,676 cases were reported in Tbilisi, 525 in Adjara, 591 in Imereti, 351 in Kvemo Kartli, 294 in Shida Kartli, 131 in Guria, in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 274, in Kakheti - 166, in Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 134, in Samtskhe-Javakheti - 88, in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 30", he stated.
Currently, there are 21,681 active cases in the country.
