Five little ducks went out one day.
五只小鸭子出门去了。
Over the hills and far away.
它们翻山越岭去到了很远的地方。
One day, after breakfast, five little ducks waved byebye to their mommy and went out to play as usual.
一天，和往常一样，五只小鸭子跟妈妈说完再见后就出去玩了。
Mother Duck held a broom and began to sweep the yard.
鸭妈妈拿着扫把开始打扰院子。
A busy day began.
忙碌的一天开始了。
Mother duck said: "Quack, quack, quack, quack."
鸭妈妈喊道：“嘎嘎嘎嘎！快回家了！”
But only four little ducks came back.
但是只有四只小鸭子回来了。
What would Mother Duck tell them？
鸭妈妈会跟他们说什么呢？
If you went out to play, I would tell you not to go too far away.
如果是你出去玩了，我会跟你说，别走太远啊。
But this time, when Mother Duck called her babies, only four little ducks came back.
可这回，当鸭妈妈叫她的宝宝们回家，只有 四只鸭宝宝回来了。

四只小鸭子出门去了。

Mother Duck continued to do the housework.
鸭妈妈继续忙家务了。
I was a shinning day.
这天阳光正好。
Mother Duck did some washing and hanged the blankets out in the yard.
鸭妈妈洗完床单，把它们都晾到院子里了。
But the ducklings ran too far away that Mother Duck couldn't see them again.
但小鸭子们跑的太远了，鸭妈妈看不到他们了。

Mother duck said: "Quack, quack, quack, quack."
鸭妈妈喊道：“嘎嘎嘎嘎！快回家了！”
But only three little ducks came back.
但是只有三只小鸭子回来了。
When Mother Duck ironed her blanket in the room, three little ducks came back.
当鸭妈妈在房间里熨烫床单，三只小鸭子回来了。
They played in the yard instead.
他们现在改成在院子里玩了。
But where were the other two ducks？
但是另外两只鸭子到哪里去了呢？

Look, Mother Duck finished her painting and hanged it in the living room.
看，鸭妈妈完成了她的作品，把画挂在客厅里了。
But when she called her kids to see her work, only two little ducks came back.
可是当她叫她的宝宝们来看她的作品，只有两只小鸭子回来了。

Mother Duck picked some apples for dinner and her duckling went out to play again.
鸭妈妈摘了些苹果做晚餐，小鸭子们又出去玩了。
The apples were big and red.
苹果又大又红。
Some of the apples were ripe and fell into the ground.
有些苹果成熟了，掉到地上。
They must taste very sweet.
他们一定很甜。
Mother duck said: "Quack, quack, quack, quack."
鸭妈妈喊道：“嘎嘎嘎嘎！快回家了！”
But only one little duck came back.
但是只有一只小鸭子回来了。
With a basket of apples, Mother Duck went home.
鸭妈妈带着一篮子苹果回家了。
She called her children again.
她又叫孩子们回家了。
I guess she called her kids back to have some apples.
我猜她是想叫孩子们回家吃苹果。
But look at the lane, only one little duck came back.
可是看看那条小路，只有一只小鸭子回家了。

In the kitchen, Mother Duck began to make apple pie.
在厨房里，鸭妈妈开始做苹果派啦。

It was their dinner.

But none of those little ducks came back.

Dinner was ready.

Time to go back home and have dinner.

But none of those little duck came back.
可是一只小鸭子都没有回家。
Where were they？
他们在哪？
Were they dangerous？
他们有危险吗？
Mother duck she went out one day.
最后，鸭妈妈出门去了。

Mother Duck decided to find her kids.
鸭妈妈决定亲自去找孩子们啦。
The apple pie was hot and smelt good.
苹果派还热着，闻起来真香。
Would the ducklings came back for dinner on time？
小鸭子们能准时回家吃饭吗？
Mother duck said: "Quack, quack, quack, quack."
鸭妈妈喊道：“嘎嘎嘎嘎！快回家了！”
And all of those little ducks came back.
于是，所有的小鸭子就都回家了。
Mother Duck climbed to the top of a hill and called her kids.
鸭妈妈爬到了小山顶上叫她的宝宝们回家了。

But it was said that all the little ducks came back.

And Mother Duck was preparing milk for them.

After dinner, little ducks went to bed.
