This week's Mulan Yummy Food Review is on a Southeast Asian cuisine restaurant. Can you guys guess what the restaurant is? Yep you're right! It's a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant. The restaurant's name is Một Góc Hà Nội which can be translated as A Corner of Hanoi.
First thing is when you come into this restaurant you feel like you're in the middle of Vietnam since it has just been renovated. It draws on a new concept of using bamboo (imported directly from Vietnam!) as part of its décor and furnishings. With the many Vietnamese paintings hanging on the wall, it gives you that genuine feeling.
But the most important question is – how's the food? What I was served in this restaurant was extremely good in taste! I really do feel like I'm in Vietnam when I try the food. From talking with the restaurant owner, the food ingredients themselves are all directly imported from Vietnam, which makes the taste even better and more authentic. Even the chef of this restaurant is Vietnamese, which guarantees that the food served here has the same taste as Vietnam.
One novel thing about the restaurant is that actually theyhave no menu! So it would be wise for you guys to do some research about Vietnamese cuisine first before you arrive here. You can also ask the owner about what special dishes they have in the restaurant to get his recommendations. By the way, the Vietnamese pho (Vietnam's favourite noodle soup) served in this restaurant is one of the best meals I have had in Ningbo. And the Vietnamese salad and pancakes were also finger licking good.
The restaurant'sseafoodis also very fresh, which I have no doubt that I will try again. Even for me, someone who is not a big fan of fish, I would rate the seafood dishes in this restaurant 10 out of 10. Also, all the seafood is also imported directly from Vietnam.
So overall I would like to highly recommend this restaurant to you guys. Although what is served is kind of pricey, I can say it was really worth the taste and money. I would rate my experience dining in this restaurant 10 out of 10 and for sure I will be back in this restaurant again.
