I had always been regarding myself as an excellent student. I got a 7 (9 maximum) in IELTS (stands for International English Language Testing System) at the first year of high school, and almost 100% in all science subjects I was studying. I even once mocked at a student who was sent to Fudan University. I can clearly remember what I said at that time:“Fudan University? I would not go there even if you gave me a hundred thousand RMB.”
That idea did not fade away until I downloaded a software called“I get”. I found dozens of fabulous columns such as“The way to financial freedom”and “Five-minute business school”there. I was shocked by the quality of both passages that the author wrote and comments that members left. Then I realized, there was no way for me to write as good as they did.They really had thoughts that were insightful and impressive.
At the point that I realized my so-called excellence was nothing but a lie, my self-esteem was severely stricken. Nonetheless, it was also at the time, I found the simplest definition of“growing up”----refresh the way your brain thinks, change the way your body acts.
A whole lifetime can be shrunk into seven years. During this period, I would like to keep refreshing and changing. Fortunately, I do not have to go through this all by myself. I have got you----my supervisors, my mentors, my friends.
There is still a long, long way to go. Let us do it together. Hand in hand, shoulder by shoulder.

我曾一度认为自己是一个非常优秀的学生。高中的第一年，我就考出了雅思7分（满分9分）的成绩，并且所有的理科学科成绩都几乎是满分。我曾经甚至嘲笑过一个被保送到复旦大学的学生。我至今仍能清晰地记起我当时说的话：“复旦大学？给我十万块钱我都不去。”
但当我开始使用一款名为“得到”的软件之后，我的这个想法就烟消云散了。在这个软件中，我看到了许多太过精彩的专栏，例如“通往财富自由之路”和“五分钟商学院”。无论是专栏文章的质量，还是专栏中留言的质量，都使我感到很震撼。随后我意识到，我比他们差远了。我写不出那种又有深度、又有说服力的东西。
当我意识到我所谓的“优秀”其实是一个谎言的时候，我的自尊心受到了严重的打击。但是，也就是在那个时候，我体会到了“成长”真正的含义：刷新认知，改变行为。
七年就是一辈子。在这段时间里，我会一直坚持刷新，坚持改变。幸运的是，我并不孤单。我有你们的陪伴—我的监督者们，我的老师们，我的朋友们。
路还长着呢，一块儿走呗。让我们手牵手，肩并肩。
