I.
Wamming up                                                                          

Today we will go on talking about transportation.At first,I will tell you about how I get to work every day.Now please look at the picture.That’s my home ,and this is my school.Can you fill in the blanks?[按PPT]Let’s have a try.(教师指着PPT说)Every morning I walk to the bus stop,Then I wait for the bus and take the bus to the school.(给学生们进行一堆表扬,比如well done [按PPT])。Ok,How does the boy get to school in this picture?Who want to have a try ?(等候几秒,假装和学生一起报答案[按PPT])First,he walks to the bus stop,Next ,he takes the bus to the subways station.Then,he takes the subways to school.

Well,how do you get to school every day?Let’s see.[按PPT]To get to school you can ……(PPT出现的短语代入 take the bus/walk/ride a bike/take the car/take the subway).So for most of the students in China,it’s easy to get to school.[按PPT]

However,What about students in some poor places in China?Do you want to know how they get to school?(话音刚落,[按PPT])Let’s watch a short video(此时播放电影)After watching,how do you feel?Do you think it is dangers? For them is it easy to get to school?([按PPT]),No it’s really difficult.([按PPT])。

Ⅱ. 2a Pre-reading

So today we will learn to read the new passage,before reading(放下一个幻灯片),Please look at the picture and title below,guess what the passage is about.Look at the picture and think about these questions.

S4:They are going on the ropeway or we can say they are taking the ropeway.[按PPT]

Now please read the title with me.[Crossing the River to School][按PPT]

Now do you know what the passage is about?

Ss:The passage is about how the students go to school.[按PPT]

   [按PPT]Look ,This is a village[按PPT],the people who live in it ,we can call them villagers[按PPT].In front of the village is a big river[按PPT].The river is between the school and the village.Ok,class What should students do if they want to go to school.[按PPT]

Ss:They have to cross the river(按幻灯片放出短语)

T:How do we usually cross the river.[按PPT]

Ss:We can take a boat or walk on a bridge.

T:Why do they choose a dangerous way to cross the river?Let’s read the passage to find the reasons.[按PPT]

Ⅲ. While-reading  

How many paragraph can you see?Yes ,There are three paragraph in the passage.[按PPT]Now please look through the passage then match the main idea with each paragraph.(给学生一定时间,然后让学生回答)Ok,Time is up.Let’s check the answer.

Para1:The students go on a ropeway to school.

Para2:Liangliang likes his school.

Para3:It’s about the villagers’ dream.[按PPT]

Next let’s read the paragraph 1,and think about these two questions.

    Is it very easy for you to find the answers.Now let’s do somethings a little more difficult .[按PPT]Please look at the pictures,can you retell the main idea of paragraph1.Please look at the picture carefully and I believe you can do it.

T:Are you ready?Let’s have a try.

T+Ss:It’s difficult for students in one small village in China to get to school.(按幻灯片放下一句话)First,There is a very big river between their school and the village.Second,There is no bridge.Third,the river runs too quickly for boats. So they have to go on the ropeway to the school[按PPT].

There is a boy who live in the village,Do you want to know something about him?(播放下一张幻灯片)Yes let’s go on the passage.Please read paragraph 2 and 3,then finish the mind-maps.I will give you 5 minutes.

T:It’s time to check your answers.What’s the name of the boy?

S1:His name is Liangliang.[按PPT]

T:How old is he?

S2:He is 11 years old.[按PPT]

T:At school,The teacher is like…[ a father]and he loves to…[play with]classmates.[按PPT]

T:What’s the boy’s dream.

S3:He dreams to have a bridge.[按PPT]

T:It’s also the dream of all the villagers.Ok,class,(播放下一张幻灯片)Do you think their dream can come true?Why or why not?

T:In my opinion I think their dream can come true.Maybe the government can build a bridge for them .And I believe in the future ,every students in China will not need to go on a ropeway to school.

T:[按PPT]These sentences is not difficult to find,isn’t it?After read the whole

passage,we find that there are still many students in China who live a poor life.It takes some hours to go to school every day,But they never give up.What should we do if we meet some difficulties?Don’t be afraid of difficulties,go ahead bravely.Boys and girls we should cherish present learning environment,study hard,try to help more people.You all should believe that all difficulties will be passed.Please love what we have now.Our dreams will come true!

1.retell the passage.用自己的话复述课文。

2.Recite the new words and experessions on the passages.背诵课文中出现的单词和表达。

3.Write a letter to the local government,tell them the situation and ask them to help.

写一封信给当地政府,告知情况并寻求帮助。
