The Little Red Hen 小红母鸡

Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who lived on a farm with her chicks. One day, the hen found some wheat grains and asked her chicks, "Who will help me plant these grains?"

很久很久以前，有一只小红母鸡和她的小鸡住在一座农场里。一天，母鸡发现了一些小麦粒，她问小鸡们：“谁会帮我种这些种子？”

But none of the chicks wanted to help. So, the little red hen decided to plant the wheat grains by herself.

但是没有一只小鸡愿意帮忙。于是，小红母鸡决定自己种植小麦种子。

She worked hard, digging the soil, planting the grains, and watering them every day. As time passed, the wheat grew tall and golden.

她努力工作，挖土、种种子，并每天浇水。随着时间的推移，小麦长高了，变成了金黄色。

When the wheat was ready to harvest, the little red hen asked her chicks again, "Who will help me harvest the wheat?"

当小麦成熟可以收割时，小红母鸡再次问小鸡们：“谁会帮我收割小麦？”

Again, none of the chicks wanted to help. So, the little red hen harvested the wheat all by herself.

同样，没有一只小鸡愿意帮忙。于是，小红母鸡自己收割了小麦。

Next, she asked her chicks, "Who will help me grind the wheat into flour?"

接下来，她问小鸡们：“谁会帮我把小麦磨成面粉？”

Once again, the chicks refused to help. So, the little red hen ground the wheat into flour all by herself.

小鸡们再次拒绝帮忙。于是，小红母鸡自己把小麦磨成了面粉。

Finally, she asked her chicks, "Who will help me bake the flour into bread?"

最后，她问小鸡们：“谁会帮我把面粉做成面包？”

But just like before, none of the chicks wanted to help. So, the little red hen baked the flour into bread all by herself.

但就像以前一样，没有一只小鸡愿意帮忙。于是，小红母鸡自己把面粉做成了面包。

When the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air, the chicks eagerly ran to the hen and said, "We'll help you eat the bread!"

当新鲜出炉的面包的香气弥漫在空气中时，小鸡们迫不及待地跑到母鸡面前说：“我们会帮你吃面包的！”

But the little red hen replied, "No, I will eat the bread all by myself since none of you wanted to help me throughout the process."

但小红母鸡回答道：“不，我自己会吃面包，因为在整个过程中，你们没有人愿意帮助我。”

And so, the little red hen enjoyed the delicious bread all by herself while her chicks learned the importance of cooperation and hard work.
