1，背景
英国新一届议会17日正式开幕，英国国王查尔斯三世发表演讲，宣布新政府的“优先立法事项”。面对数百名英国上议院和下议院成员，查尔斯三世身着长袍、头戴王冠，发表演讲阐述了英国14年来第一个工党政府的立法计划。
本月月初，由斯塔默带领的英国工党战胜保守党，获得了选举胜利并成功组阁。查尔斯三世在演讲中说，“政府的立法计划将以使命为导向，并以安全、公平和人人享有机会的原则为基础”，“我的政府将寻求与企业和劳动人民建立新的伙伴关系，并通过优先为所有社区创造财富来帮助国家摆脱近期的生活成本挑战。
新一届英国工党政府在外交事务上致力于建立一个“安全、可靠的以色列和一个具备可行性且主权独立的巴勒斯坦国”。与此同时，英国对北约军事联盟的支持“保持不可动摇”，而乌克兰也将继续获得英国的“全力支持”。而新首相已经迫不及待的接待了泽连斯基，昨日，泽连斯基参加了内阁会议。
2，精讲句子文本：
整个演讲15分钟左右，里面有两句话，特别有意思，作为今天的具体分析，一句是决定把部分铁路公有制化（以前火车慢的要死，公有制后时速能提高一点嘛），一句是说所有的这些经济政策将维持住英国工业在全球的领先地位。
听到这句话，谁能忍住笑，反正笔者在英国多年，也没看到英国工业领先地位体现在哪里。
那几年，笔者所在城市最显眼的一栋楼都是中国人在建的哇，国王，你清醒一点！

enhance 加强；promote 促进。都表示了更进一步的含义，但是，区别在于enhance 包含了一层原先就已经很强的意思。enhance Britain's position as a leading industrial nation，这就比较耐人寻味了，要加强大不列颠联合王国的工业领先地位。嗯，不是恢复，而是加强喔
enable sb to do sth: 使某人能做某事
sb be able to do sth: 某人能做某事; 注意区别，Sb 一个是被动，一个是主动的。
take advandage of : 利用优势
