When it's hard to fall asleep, I read or listen to English. Listening to English and falling asleep came from the days that I prepared my GRE exam.
At that time, I spent hours mesmerizing English words every day, since GRE required a much much greater amount of difficult academic words than the ones in my head. I typically hided under my quilt to review the words till one or two o'clock in the morning and fell asleep listening recordings of those words. I'm a bit glad that those days were gone, but every time I had a hard night to sleep, listening to English is still an effective way to help me get to my sweet dreams.
