with a population of approximately 11 million as of 2016. Athens is the nation's
capital and largest city.
Greece is located at the crossroads of
Europe, Asia, and Africa. Situated on the
southern tip of the Balkan Peninsula.
Greece has the longest coastline on the
Mediterranean Basin and the 11th longest
coastline in the world at 13,676 km (8,498 mi) in length, featuring a large number of
islands, of which 227 are inhabited.

A brief history and three type of architecture.
The architecture of ancient Greece was produced by the ancient Greeks. The culture at that time flourished on the Greek islands and other regions around the Greek. The architecture are surely devided into three particular types, which is the Doric Order, the Ionic Order and the Corinthian Order. These three types have profound effect on Western architecture not only at that time, but also today.
The Doric is most easily recognized by the simple circularcapitalsat on the top of columns. It was the earliest and the simplest of the three orders, but it also have complex details. Because I only have little knowledge on it, I will not explian it.
The Ionic capital is famous because of the the use of volutes. The Ionic columns normally stand on a bid base.
This architectural style is characterized by slender fluted columns which is decorated with big stones. But here also exists many variations.
Santorini is a small and circular volcanic islands. It is located in the southern Aegean Sea, which is about 200 km from Greece's mainland.
From the hotel you could see the beautiful blue sea without go out.
The buildings on the island are mainly of the color of blue and white. It slao lined with blue sea. Moreover it is really beautiful and it is a famous destination for tourist.

Greek cuisine
Greece is a mysterious country and its cuisine has a long history and unique Mediterranean flavor. When you come to Greece, I really recommend you to taste the local food and enjoy the delicious food in the beautiful scenery.
Now, I will introduce some typic cuisines to you.
Olive oil
The most characteristic and ancient element of Greek cuisine is olive oil, which is used in most dishes.
Moussaka
Moussaka is the most representative of the Greek food. It is made of the goat's cheese and lamb. Because the goat cheese protein content is much higher than the milk, so it is very soft, baked out of a very fragrant and strong smell.
Village salad
It is made of the fresh onion, tomato, sweet pepper and cucumber, as well as a piece of white cheese and olive oil. In Greece, it is the most common appetizer.(开胃菜)
Fried squid(油炸小鱿鱼)
People put small squid into oil and fry, cut into circles, and then add a few drops of lemon. After that you can eat the delicious food.

I have been fascinated by Greek mythology since I was a little girl. And I think it is another pearl in ancient civilazatuon. Greek mythology is also particularly noticeable in literary gardens. In Greek mythology, God is homomorphic with human beings.They not only possess the beauty of human body, but also have the seven emotions and human desires .
Literature & Drama
Homa's epic is of great literary value and contains a great deal of historical information. Drama is the gem of the literary garden of classical times. Greek dramatists are outstanding literary masters who skillfully weave myths and social realities together. Famous Greek drama are : Oedipus, Medea, Prometheus Bound, and so on.
