I had an amusing experience during my trip to France. While I drove on to the next
town in France, a young man waved to me and asked me for a lift. Apart from greetings in French, I did not know any French at all. Neither of us spoke during the journey until I
had nearly reached the town and the young man suddenly said English to me. At that
time, I soon learnt that he was English himself.
