1. Bohemian: boʊˈhi:miən]
- a nonconformist writer or artist who lives an unconventional life (noun) 波西米亚
You can use bohemian to describe artistic people who live in an unconventional way.
- unconventional in especially appearance and behavior (adj.) 放荡不羁
2. Strip
- N-COUNT(纸、布、食物等的)条,带 A strip of something such as paper, cloth, or food is a long, narrow piece of it.
- N-COUNT 狭长区域;带状(陆地、水域) A strip of land or water is a long narrow area of it.

3. Preach

读完最有感触的两个地方这里记录一下:
1. I then said that the professional writer must establish a daily schedule and stick to it .I said that writing is a craft,not an art, and that the man who runs away from his craft because he lacks inspiration is fooling himself. He is also going broke.
写过作文的我们都知道写作需要灵感,我到现在都这样以为。而作者作为一个长期定期输出文字的专业作家本着科学严谨的态度告诉我们:写作同很多其它工作一样,是有章可循有理可依的。也许世界上有靠着一时灵感一气呵成的巨著,但我更相信:持续稳定的写作水准一定是来自长期定时定量的“一万小时”训练。
2 Clutter is the disease of American writing. We are a society strangling in unnecessary words, circular constructions. pompous frills and meaningless jargon.
结合自身经历,刚入职写英文工作邮件是,为了显示自己的水平,大量地写长句从句,觉得只有这样才能表现自己的专业,现在回想真觉惭愧,完全误解了写作的精髓。
