to overwhelm

When someone has been overwhelmed, they have been given too much to do.

It can be difficult balancing work and personal time when you constantly feel overwhelmed by your job.

to distract

When someone has been distracted, their attention has been drawn away from something.

Removing unnecessary distractions is key to managing your time well.
