一、绘本导读
一大早Hattie大母鸡不经意往草丛一瞧，不得了——她看到一个鼻子。她大叫：“天哪！”但是农场里的鹅先生、猪大哥、羊小妹、牛妈妈都不以为意。一会儿，她又大叫：“天哪！我看到一个鼻子、两只眼睛，两只耳朵！”但还是没人理她。她一再喊叫，警告大家。有用吗？狐狸现身，动物们可以逃过此劫吗？
二、绘本内容，
Hattie was a big black hen. One morning she looked up and said,海蒂是一只黑色的大母鸡,有一天早晨她一抬头发现了什么然后说到"Goodness gracious me! I can see a nose in the bushes!"“我的天哪！我看见灌木丛里有一个鼻子！”
Good grief!" said the goose.“天哪！”鹅说
"Well, well!" said the pig.“哦，哦！”猪说
"Who cares?" said the sheep.“管它呢！”羊说
"So what?" said the horse.“那又怎么样？”马说
"What next?" said the cow.“然后呢？”母牛说
And Hattie said, "Goodness gracious me! I can see a nose and two eyes in the bushes!"海蒂又说：“我的天哪！我看见灌木丛里有一个鼻子和两只眼睛！”
Good grief!" said the goose.“天哪！”鹅说
"Well, well!" said the pig.“哦，哦！”猪说
"Who cares?" said the sheep.“管它呢！”羊说
"So what?" said the horse.“那又怎么样？”马说
"What next?" said the cow.“然后呢？”母牛说
And Hattie said, "Goodness gracious me! I can see a nose, two eyes, and two ears in the bushes!"海蒂又说：“我的天哪！我看见灌木丛里有一个鼻子，两只眼睛还有两只耳朵！”

And Hattie said, "Goodness gracious me! I can see a nose, two eyes, two ears, a body, four legs, and a tail in the bushes! It's a fox! It's a fox!"海蒂又说：“我的天哪！我看见灌木丛里有一只鼻子，两只眼睛，两只耳朵，一个身体，四条腿还有一条尾巴！是狐狸！是狐狸！”
And she flew very quickly into a nearby tree.它飞快的的飞到了旁边的大树上。
"Oh, no!" said the goose.“噢，不！”鹅说
"Dear me!" said the pig.“我的天！”猪说
"Oh, dear!" said the sheep.“噢，天哪！”羊说
"Oh, help!" said the horse.“噢，救命！”马说
But the cow said, "Moo!" so loudly that the fox was frightened and ran away.
只有母牛大叫了一声“哞！”，声音很大，狐狸被吓跑了。
And they were all so surprised that none of them said anything for a very long time.
他们受到了太大的惊吓，以至于很长时间说不出话来。
